Academic profile
Aaron Yelowitz is Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Kentucky and holds a joint appointment with the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration. He previously served on the faculty at UCLA and received his Ph.D. in Economics from MIT.
His research examines how public policy and market institutions shape insurance coverage, labor supply, household behavior, housing outcomes, and access to opportunity. The work uses administrative records, large surveys, and policy variation to answer applied questions with direct public relevance.
